Sentinel and Enterprise Editor Jeff McMenemy is soliciting questions for Thursday's big mayoral debate at Fitchburg State College. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to influence public
discourse, provided that your question is compatible with the paper's ideology. To avoid repetition, here's a brief list of questions already approved for the debate:
1. For each of the candidates: Please describe how being a man enables you to take decisive action on difficult issues.
2. For Councilor DeSalvatore: Would you describe yourself more as a 'can-do' leader, or a 'take-charge' leader?
3. For Councilor Donnelly: Is it possible to love Fitchburg too much?
4. For each of the candidates: Using only the words "catastrophe" or "abomination", please describe your views on the Putnam Place and Riverfront Park renovation projects.
5. For Councilor DeSalvatore: It's your first day in office and an organized band of street thugs attacks the city. While fighting them hand-to-hand in the streets, will it even occur to you how lucky Fitchburg is to have you as its mayor?
6. For each of the candidates: It's said that wisdom comes with age. For the purposes of illustration, please line up in order of wisdom.
All other questions may be directed to Jeff McMenemy at jmcmenemy@sentinelandenterprise.com.
